A Russian business is offering a cash reward as a reward for the first soldiers to destroy Western-made tanks in Ukraine.
Russian soldiers who “capture or destroy” German-made Leopard 2 or American Abrams tanks will receive cash.
Fores, a Urals-based energy firm, is offering five million rubles (approximately £58,000) to the first Russian soldier to destroy one of the tanks, and 500,000 rubles (approximately $5,800) for all subsequent attacks.
He also said he would pay a reward of 15 million rubles (approximately £174,000) for Western-made fighter jets if they were ever delivered to Ukraine.
Ukraine finally secured US-made Abrams tanks and German Leopard tanks last week after months of wrangling between the allies. It quickly became clear that modern Western fighter jets would be his next priority.
