Over the years, Kim Kardashian has made some rather dramatic statements at the annual Met Gala in New York.
In her first year at the glamorous, star-studded event, she wore a tight floral dress that made the most of her pregnant belly. She would later be seen in a gold dress with a column, a silver suit that made her look like a robot, a transparent lace miracle, and a dress that came so tight that she had to wear waist shoes weeks before.
Last year, the 41-year-old star covered her face with black cloth in a shocking move, saying that for some reason she wore make-up all over her face.
Here’s a look back at the eight visions the Kardashian star tried out on the most important night in fashion.
2013 – GIVENCHY
Her first time at the Met Gala was for PUNK: Chaos to Couture in 2013. She was pregnant with North and wore a dress with floral prints from Givenchy.
The California-born said she was not invited, but rather West plus one. Unfortunately, she cried after the gala because she was so insecure about everything, she said.
‘2103 Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy. I was plus one of Kanye and so nervous! I didn’t know anyone and I’m sure no one wanted me there, haha. I made my own lipstick and the color is so off. I went home and cried after the uncertainty, but this is one of my favorite visions, “said the TV vet.

In 2014, Kim wore a blue Lanvin strapless dress, just as Kanye wore black. The theme was Charles James: Beyond Fashion.
She said it was the first time she had been invited alone.
“My dress was originally made of this amazing leather with metal details,” Kim said earlier. “But we decided at the last minute to turn it into blue satin.”

She wore a very transparent and sexy lace dress and mesh by Roberto Cavalli for the event in May 2015. Her hair was slicked back and she was modeling huge earrings.
And the star posed with her husband Kanye West, who went in a black suit and boots.
The theme was a celebration of China: Through the Mirror.

Kardashian tested silver at Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age of Technology in 2016.
She wore a Balmain, a shiny silver dress that looked like a futuristic slit dress. Kanye West’s husband was in the same designer.
She said: ‘2016 Olivier Rousteing for Balmain. This year I came back in uncertainty because I had not lost all my baby weight. Big mistake in whitening eyebrows, but Kanye looked so good this year with those blue eyes! It was super controversial that he was wearing denim.
She had previously said: “I thought Balmain was the perfect choice for me and Kanye, especially. I think Kanye’s look is a bit downplayed with denim mixed with all of Balmain’s brilliance.

This one in 2017 celebrated the opening of Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between.
The selfish author wore a white Vivienne Westwood dress with open shoulders, no jewelry and strapless heels.
During the bus trip to the event, she had to stand up so as not to wrinkle her dress, and she said she was already sweating and had to use the bathroom because she was so nervous.
Chris Jenner’s daughter said: “2017 Vivienne Westwood. This was my first year of walking alone. I was so nervous to go alone that I almost vomited on the way and had to pee every second .. I was FaceTiming my sisters to meet at the top of the stairs. Vivienne made me this beautiful dress from her archive.

She said that this gold mesh Versace dress looked like a “glove”.
Kardashian added: “I knew exactly what I wanted and I was the most confident this year. ’90s, chain, sexy and simple.’

Kardashian was wet for Camp: Notes on Fashion in 2019.
She had to wear waist shoes to make her middle part as small as possible to take off this Thierry Mugler dress.
The look had to be “wet,” so there were crystals that looked like raindrops falling from her. Her hair also looked wet, as she had oily skin.

Kim shocked fans as she wore a black look from head to toe that covered her famous face.
Later, the match on the red carpet said that she was completely made up under this sock for a face that looked like a lot of effort without paying off.
It turned out that this was not her favorite move.
“I fought against it. I was like, I don’t know how I can wear the mask. Why would I want to cover my face? she told Vogue this year.
“But Demna.” [Gvasalia, Balenciaga’s creative director] and the team said, “It’s a costume gala. It’s not a Vanity Fair party where everyone looks beautiful. There’s a theme and you have to wear the mask. That’s the look.”
