The morning round of storms will continue to be traced to the north and east, but another round of storms will develop late in the afternoon and on Monday evening.
Troubled Monday as warm, humid air enters
The warm front pushed out the first round of rain and thunder before it at noon on Monday in Minnesota. Some storms are strong, the main threat being heavy hail and strong gusts of wind.
Rather, warm and humid air will move behind the warm front moving north through Minnesota. Expect temperatures to reach 80’s in southern Minnesota.

Dew points will also increase and rise until the 1960s in southern Minnesota, resulting in a fairly warm, humid afternoon.

An already cold front will bring drier air and cause storms late Monday afternoon and evening, mainly in central and southeastern Minnesota in western Wisconsin.

Some of these storms can be severe to severe. There is a small risk of severe storms in these areas. The evening storm cycle has the potential to produce some isolated tornadoes.

While the cool front will bring a temporary drop in humidity, it will be short-lived. Temperatures on Tuesday will still be well into the 70’s and even some low 80’s. It will be less humid, however.

It seems that our heat will reach a “peak” by Wednesday or Thursday with a real shot of 90, which is close to a record high temperature.

Humidity will also increase until Wednesday and there is another risk of thunderstorms in the middle of the week. Some of these storms can also be severe.
